Halloween Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Halloween sprinkles
  • Candy eyes for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2–3 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually mix this into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and Halloween sprinkles.
  6. Scoop spoonfuls of cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each.
  7. Add a candy eye or two on each cookie before baking.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until golden brown around the edges but soft in the center.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet briefly before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For extra festive flair, save some sprinkles to add on top before baking. Enjoy these cookies with a glass of milk or a warm beverage!
