  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the pie crust according to package instructions or roll out homemade dough.
  3. Slice the fresh tomatoes into 1/4-inch thick slices and layer them on a towel to absorb moisture.
  4. Mix in a large bowl the cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, basil, salt, pepper, onions, and garlic powder until well combined.
