Halloween Cheesecake: A Spooktacular Delight

A creamy, rich Halloween cheesecake with a hint of chocolate from crushed Oreos, topped with playful candy eyes—a perfect festive treat!

  • 20 Oreos (for crust)
  • ¼ cup (57g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 32 ounces (900g) full fat block cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup (60mL) heavy whipping cream
  • 5 ounces (153g) Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • Orange food coloring
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 large egg yolks, room temperature
  • 14 Oreos, chopped
  • 1 cup homemade whipped cream
  • Candy eyes (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Prepare the crust by processing Oreos to fine crumbs, then mixing with melted butter and pressing into a 9-inch springform pan.
  3. Mix the cream cheese in a bowl until smooth, then gradually add sugar, heavy cream, and Greek yogurt.
  4. Add the eggs, egg yolks, and vanilla extract, blending until incorporated.
  5. Color the mixture with orange food coloring and fold in the chopped Oreos.
  6. Pour the batter over the crust and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 60-70 minutes, until edges are set and center is slightly jiggly.
  8. Cool in the oven for 1 hour, then chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours.
  9. Whip the heavy cream with sugar until soft peaks form.
  10. Decorate the chilled cheesecake with whipped cream and candy eyes.

Notes

For a lighter version, consider using low-fat cream cheese. You can also try various toppings to personalize the cheesecake.
