Seafood Lasagna

A creamy and flavorful seafood lasagna featuring fresh shrimp, scallops, and a rich white sauce, perfect for family gatherings.

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
  • 10 oz ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 1 large egg (whisked)
  • 1 pound seafood mix
  • Fresh lasagna noodles

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Make the white sauce by melting the butter and whisking in the flour.
  3. Add the milk gradually and whisk until smooth, then stir in the parmesan cheese.
  4. Prepare the seafood by sautéing it in a skillet until just cooked through.
  5. Combine the ricotta, 1/4 cup mozzarella, egg, and seafood mixture in a bowl.
  6. Layer the ingredients in a baking dish, starting with white sauce, followed by noodles, and filling, repeating until finished.
  7. Top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
  8. Bake covered for 25 minutes, then uncover and bake for another 15-20 minutes.
  9. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Letting the lasagna rest after baking helps the layers set for easier serving. Optional toppings include fresh parsley.
