Irresistible Orange Muffins

Light and fluffy orange muffins that bring a burst of citrus flavor to your mornings.

  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • Juice of 1 orange
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Combine the Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, crack the egg, whisk until frothy, then add buttermilk, vegetable oil, orange zest, orange juice, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently fold until just combined.
  5. Fill Your Muffin Tin: Line a muffin tin with paper liners and fill each cup about ¾ full.
  6. Bake: Bake for 15-20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool and Enjoy: Let them cool for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

Notes
