Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prep the chicken by rinsing the breasts under cold water and patting them dry with a paper towel.
  2. Make the glaze by combining maple syrup and Dijon mustard in a medium bowl and whisking them together.
  3. Sear the chicken in a large skillet over medium-high heat for about 5-6 minutes without moving them.
  4. Flip the chicken and pour half of the glaze over the top, letting it bubble for about 5 minutes.
  5. Finish cooking by lowering the heat, covering the skillet, and cooking for another 5-7 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. Rest the chicken on a plate for about 5 minutes and drizzle the remaining glaze over the top.
