Maple Glazed Meatloaf

A delightful twist on the classic meatloaf, featuring a sweet maple glaze that enhances the savory flavors for a comforting family meal.

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1/4 cup Maple Syrup
  • 1/2 cup Ketchup
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the ground beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, onion, garlic, ketchup, and half of the maple syrup together in a large bowl, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  3. Shape the meat mixture into a loaf on a parchment-lined baking sheet or into a greased loaf pan.
  4. Create the maple glaze by mixing the remaining maple syrup and 2 tablespoons of ketchup in a small bowl, then brush it over the meatloaf.
  5. Bake for 60-75 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  6. Let the meatloaf rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
  7. Serve with sides like mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables.

Notes

Feel free to substitute ground turkey for a leaner version. This dish can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator prior to baking. Perfect for leftovers—just freeze individual slices and reheat.
