Beef Taco Casserole

A hearty and comforting Beef Taco Casserole, perfect for gatherings and family dinners.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 34 corn or flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar and Monterey Jack mix)
  • 1 cup salsa

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Stir in taco seasoning.
  3. Layer the tortillas in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Add half of the cooked beef over the tortillas, followed by salsa.
  5. Sprinkle a cup of cheese over the beef layer.
  6. Repeat the layers with more tortillas, beef, salsa, and cheese.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes.
  8. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Add fresh cilantro, guacamole, or sour cream for serving. You can also customize with vegetables or make it vegetarian by using beans.
