  • 1/2 pound jumbo shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Kosher salt and pepper
  • Blackstone Sweet Teriyaki seasoning blend (optional)
  • Cooking oil of choice
  • 2 (8-ounce) microwave pouches Jasmine rice
  • 1 large avocado (sliced)
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 2 lime wedges
  • Sauce of choice (yum yum sauce, sriracha, spicy mayo, or more teriyaki sauce)

Instructions

  1. Prep the shrimp: Rinse jumbo shrimp under cold water, then pat them dry with a paper towel. Toss with a sprinkle of kosher salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat the oil: In a large skillet, heat about 1-2 tablespoons of cooking oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Cook the garlic: Add minced garlic to the pan and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the shrimp: Toss the seasoned shrimp into the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
  5. Pour the teriyaki sauce: After shrimp are cooked, pour in teriyaki sauce and stir to coat the shrimp evenly. Let simmer for another minute.
  6. Cook the rice: Heat the microwave pouches of jasmine rice according to package instructions.
  7. Build your bowls: Scoop jasmine rice into each bowl, top with teriyaki shrimp, avocado slices, and cilantro.
  8. Garnish and serve: Squeeze lime wedges over the bowl and drizzle your sauce of choice for extra flavor.
