Pumpkin Sage Ravioli

A cozy fall dish featuring creamy pumpkin-filled ravioli tossed in a brown butter and sage sauce, perfect for impressing guests or enjoying a comforting night in.

Ingredients

Scale
  • Ravioli (store-bought or homemade)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Fresh sage leaves
  • 1/2 cup finely grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Boil the ravioli: Fill a large pot with salted water and bring it to a gentle boil. Add the ravioli and boil according to package instructions (usually about 4-5 minutes if store-bought).
  2. Prepare the sauce: In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat until browned slightly. Add the sage leaves and let them sizzle for about 2 minutes.
  3. Combine: Use a slotted spoon to transfer the cooked ravioli into the skillet. Gently toss to coat.
  4. Add cheese: Remove from heat and sprinkle Parmesan over the ravioli, tossing until it melts.
  5. Serve: Plate the ravioli with crispy sage leaves on top and additional Parmesan as desired.

Notes

For a vegan option, replace butter with olive oil and cheese with nutritional yeast. Add crushed red pepper for a spicy kick.
