  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 pieces hamburger buns
  • Lettuce, tomato, onion (for topping)
  • Mustard and ketchup

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Beef Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Use your hands to gently mix until just combined.
  2. Shape the Patties: Divide the beef mixture into four equal portions and gently shape each into a patty, about ¾ inch thick.
  3. Heat the Grill or Pan: Preheat the grill to medium-high or heat a skillet over medium-high heat with a little oil.
  4. Cook the Patties: Place the patties on the grill or in the pan; cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  5. Toast the Buns: While the burgers are cooking, toast your buns either on the grill or in the pan until slightly golden.
  6. Assemble Your Burger: Layer lettuce on the bottom half of each bun, add the patty, top with tomato and onion, add condiments, and close with the top bun.
