  • 1 sheet thawed puff pastry
  • 8 slices deli ham
  • 1 cup cheddar or mozzarella cheese
  • 1 large beaten egg
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface, about 1/8 inch thick.
  3. Slice the pastry into rectangles—roughly 3 x 5 inches.
  4. Spread Dijon mustard in the center of each rectangle, then layer with ham and cheese.
  5. Fold the pastry over the filling to create a triangle and seal the edges.
  6. Brush the tops with the beaten egg for a golden finish.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  8. Cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving warm.
