Cozy and satisfying French Dip Sliders with tender roast beef, creamy Swiss cheese, and caramelized onions, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups thinly sliced roast beef
  • 12 slider buns (Hawaiian rolls or traditional sliders)
  • 2 medium onions, sliced
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup beef broth (for Au Jus)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • Worcestershire sauce, to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Caramelize the Onions: In a medium skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add sliced onions and sprinkle with salt. Stir occasionally for about 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  3. Prep the Slider Buns: Slice the slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottom half in a baking dish. Brush with melted butter mixed with garlic powder.
  4. Layer the Ingredients: Distribute caramelized onions over the bottom half of the buns, then layer on roast beef and top with Swiss cheese.
  5. Add the Top Bun: Place the top half of the buns on, brush outside with melted butter, and sprinkle with onion powder.
  6. Bake to Perfection: Cover with aluminum foil and bake for about 15 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until cheese is bubbly and tops are golden.
  7. Prepare the Au Jus: While sliders bake, heat up beef broth with Worcestershire sauce in a small saucepan.
  8. Serve and Savor: Slice sliders into individual portions, serve with warm au jus for dipping.
