  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×5 inch loaf pan by greasing it with butter or lining it with parchment paper.
  3. Mix the flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl until well combined.
  4. Cream the butter and maple syrup in a larger bowl until light and fluffy.
  5. Incorporate the eggs and vanilla extract into the butter mixture until well mixed.
  6. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chopped walnuts until evenly distributed.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  10. Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
