Lavender Simple Syrup

A sweet herbal delight that adds a touch of elegance to beverages and desserts.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 8 cups sugar
  • 12 tablespoons dried lavender

Instructions

  1. Boil the water in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sugar once the water is boiling, stirring until dissolved.
  3. Add the dried lavender after removing the saucepan from heat.
  4. Let the mixture steep for about 30-60 minutes.
  5. Strain the syrup using a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth.
  6. Cool the syrup to room temperature and store in a clean glass jar.

Label your jar with the date for tracking freshness. Experiment with flavors like mint or lemon zest.
