Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ¼ teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 3 ½ cups bread flour
  • 2 teaspoons sea salt
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • Extra olive oil for drizzling
  • Fresh rosemary

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast: In a small bowl, combine yeast, warm water, and sugar. Stir and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
  2. Mix it up: In a large bowl, add flour and sea salt. Pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  3. Bring it together: Mix until a shaggy dough forms, adjusting water or flour as needed.
  4. Knead it out: On a floured surface, knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. First rise: Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.
  6. Shape it: Punch down and stretch onto a greased baking sheet, creating dimples.
  7. Drizzle & season: Preheat oven to 425°F, drizzle olive oil, and sprinkle salt and rosemary on top.
  8. Bake away: Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Cool & serve: Let cool slightly before slicing and enjoy!
