Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Prep the Apples: Wash and dry the apples, core them, and slice into thin wedges or fry shapes, about 1/2 inch thick.
  2. Prepare Your Dipping Station: In one bowl, whisk together the flour and salt, in another, beat the egg with milk, and in a third bowl, mix the panko, sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. Coat the Apple Slices: Dip each slice in flour, then egg, and finally press into the panko mixture.
  4. Preheat the Air Fryer: Set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Arrange the Apple Fries: Lightly spray the basket and arrange the coated fries in a single layer.
  6. Air Fry Away: Spray the tops and air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  7. Let Them Cool: Carefully remove and let cool on a wire rack for a few minutes.
  8. Dive In: Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Adjust the sugar according to your preference. Serve with caramel sauce or yogurt dip for added flavor.
