Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Bananas: Start by peeling and slicing your ripe bananas into coins, about 1/2 inch thick.
  2. Caramelize: In a large skillet over medium heat, add your sliced bananas along with the sugar. Stir gently to coat the bananas.
  3. Cool it Down: Once the bananas are beautifully caramelized, remove the skillet from heat, and let them cool for about 15 minutes.
  4. Blend it Up: Once cooled, transfer the caramelized bananas into a blender or food processor. Add the heavy cream, milk, and ground cinnamon. Blend until smooth.
  5. Chill and Churn: Pour the mixture into a bowl or container, cover, and let it chill in the fridge for at least two hours.
  6. Freeze: Once churned, transfer the soft ice cream into an airtight container. Freeze for at least 4 hours.

Notes

Serve with a drizzle of caramel sauce or chopped nuts for added texture.
