Homemade Banana Pudding Ice Cream

A delightful homemade ice cream that combines the flavors of classic banana pudding with creamy ice cream and crunchy vanilla wafers.

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup crushed vanilla wafers
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Start by mashing your ripe bananas in a large bowl.
  2. In the same bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract.
  3. Pop your banana mixture in the fridge for at least an hour.
  4. Once your mixture is nicely chilled, take it out and pour it into your ice cream maker.
  5. When your ice cream is nearly done churning, slowly add in the crushed vanilla wafers.
  6. Transfer your ice cream to an airtight container, smoothing the top with a spatula.
