Rich and Buttery Pumpkin Bread

  • 1 ⅔ cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 ¼ cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 cup Pumpkin Puree
  • ½ cup Softened Unsalted Butter
  • ½ cup Warm Milk
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • ½ tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp Baking Soda
  • ¼ tsp Nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp Kosher Salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×5-inch loaf pan by greasing it with butter or non-stick cooking spray, and optionally line the bottom with parchment paper.
  3. Combine the dry ingredients: whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt in a medium bowl.
  4. Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar in a large bowl for about 3-5 minutes until light and fluffy.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the pumpkin puree and vanilla extract.
  6. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture gradually, alternating with warm milk until combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  8. Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
