The Ultimate Beef Stew

A cozy and hearty beef stew that warms the heart, filled with tender beef and earthy vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs Beef Chuck, cut into 12 inch cubes
  • 3 Carrots, chopped
  • 4 Potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russets), chopped
  • 2 Celery stalks, chopped
  • 4 cups Beef Broth
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste
  • Fresh Parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients: Chop beef chuck into 1-2 inch cubes and season generously with salt and pepper. Also chop carrots, potatoes, and celery into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Brown the beef: Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat and brown beef in batches.
  3. Sauté the veggies: In the same pot, add chopped celery and carrots and sauté for about 5 minutes.
  4. Deglaze the pot: Pour in broth to scrape up the brown bits from the bottom.
  5. Combine everything: Return beef to the pot, add remaining broth and potatoes, and ensure everything is submerged.
  6. Simmer: Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and cover, letting it simmer for 120-180 minutes.
  7. Final touches: Taste and season before removing herb stems; thicken as desired.
  8. Serve: Ladle into bowls and garnish with parsley. Enjoy!
