Ultimate Autumn Cookies

Delicious, comforting autumn cookies infused with warm spices, perfect for the fall season.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup chocolate chips or nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prep your baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper.
  3. Mix together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a medium bowl.
  4. Cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
  5. Add the vanilla extract and the eggs one at a time, mixing well.
  6. Combine the flour mixture with the butter-sugar mix, stirring just until combined.
  7. Fold in the chocolate chips or nuts.
  8. Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets, leaving space for spreading.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are golden brown.
  10. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes
