The Coziest Apple Cobbler

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • Optional toppings: vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine sliced apples with granulated sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Let sit for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Whisk together flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt. Pour in melted butter and milk, then stir until smooth.
  4. Pour the apple mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Spoon the batter over the apples.
  5. Bake for 40-45 minutes, until topping is golden brown.
  6. Cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
