  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice your apples thin and toss them in a large bowl with the granulated sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Let them sit for about 10 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and brown sugar. Then add the melted butter and buttermilk, mixing until just combined.
  4. Spread the sliced apple mixture evenly in a greased baking dish. Dollop spoonfuls of the topping over the apples.
  5. Bake for about 35-45 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the apples are bubbling.
  6. Let the cobbler cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
