- 9 cups Corn or Rice Chex
- 1 & 1/4 cups white candy melts (vanilla)
- 1 & 1/4 cups red candy melts (vanilla)
- 1 & 1/4 cups blue candy melts (vanilla)
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 tbsp Paramount crystals
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup Red, White, & Blue M&M’s
- Pop Rocks (optional)
Instructions
- Prep your workspace by lining a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt the white candy melts and half of the peanut butter in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Pour the melted mixture over 3 cups of Chex in a large mixing bowl and stir to coat.
- Add 1 cup of powdered sugar to the bowl and fold it in gently.
- Repeat the melting process for the red and blue candy melts, coating Chex and adding sugar for each color.
- Spread the coated Chex evenly across the lined baking sheet.
- Add M&M’s and Pop Rocks, mixing them in for added flair.
- Let everything sit for 10-15 minutes to allow the coating to set, then break into pieces.
Notes
Store in an airtight container to maintain crunchiness. Optional ingredients can be omitted for a simpler treat.
